The Count Downs; do they stay at the same depth on retrieve, or do they climb back up to a running depth? If say I let one sink for a few seconds and it gets down to 2 meters (6 foot), will it stay at 2 meters on the retrieve? I have a Mini Fat Rap that sinks but comes back up to it's standard swimming depth on the retrieve.

Countdowns are speed sensitive. The faster you reel/troll the shallower they will run. A very slow retrieve will keep the bait at or closer to the depth that you counted to.

Also keep in mind where your rod tip is when retreiving - I keep mine up high if I just want it to tick over the weed beds, lower if I know Im in deeper water....
