Does anybody on here have any opinions on what types and/or models Rapala should consider making?
I've told Rapala that they should consider making a saltwater Shallow Shad Rap in size 9, 10, or 11. I say that because the SSR9 has caught me bluefish, striped bass, and 1 sea robin.
Seeing the Jointed Shad Rap and Shallow Shad Rap have been so good to me I think Rapala should consider making either a jointed version of the balsa wood SSR or a shallow diving version of the plastic JSR.
As for colors, colors I think Rapala should consider making on their popular crankbaits include Crappie, Smallmouth, Red, Tomatoe, Sucker, and Silver Stripe.
Red and Tomatoe would be 2 different colors but both have red with Tomatoe being red along the sides and bottom with a black back and Red is silver on the sides with a red back. Crappie, Smallmouth, and Sucker would all be natural colors. Silver Stripe would be something like S with black lines going horizontal or vertical.

First off what the hell is a sea robin Rapala should make a bunch of larger baits for Pike & Muskie I would like to see Rapala make a jointed Super Shad Rap in Orange Silver Baby Bass like the RNR Special. A jointed number 18, and a BIG Minnow Rap

Sea robins are a saltwater fish. They are bottom dwellers that have a solid hard head, wing-like fins, and make a sound like a few catfish do while out of the water. Here's a link with a few pics marinebio.org/species.asp?id=43

How about the Clown in the Original Floater. Bring it back in sizes 7, 9, 11, and 13 at the very least.

They need to make a down deep husky in size 8. This would be a killer walleye bait.

A CDJ in size 16 or 18 in Pike color with a moderate running depth would be great.

I definitely agree. Like what Heddon does with their Zaras.
Maybe Rapala should even consider making new natural colours for all of their freshwater topwaters. Instead of having BB and BG for just the SW, they should also consider having those 2 colours on the other 2 Skitters, including P and YP on all 3.

I would say more saltwater lures. It seems that Rapala are mostly concentrating on the 'Bass' community - nothing wrong with bass but what about us saltwater shore anglers?
I would like to see a deep diving floating lure - not too big but with a bit of weight - about 10 - 15 grams. Something that will be easier to get closer to the surface when getting close to the rocks at the end of a retrieve.
Blessings,
Nigel

1)skitter pop 3 or 4
2)skitter prop 3 or 4
3)give us back shallow fat raps and husky
4)lipless countdown 07 - 09 (well, the "tramviere" - local italian lure very similar to this - costs only 4 or 5 euros)
5)lower the prices!!! rapala lures in italy cost a lot!!!

Hi Walter.
maybe you didnt notice, the H13 is back in the so called RAPALA CLASSIC COLLECTION; even in some new colors like YP and SM. you can find a lot (well, some) on ebay ... just 10 or 12 colors total, and only for europe, but back it is.
the same for SFR; a few years ago SFR-5s were coming to (eastern) europe, and some made it to germany, a few shops here still carry them. but i guess when you say SFR, you are talking about the #7. i cant see in the future, but i would guess the SFR-7 will be one of the very next to come back in the CLASSIC edition...

A shiney, silver plated MU something like the colour on the F called Shiner. I know they used to make the silver plated SSGRMU, SSBMU, and SSGMU, but they never made any sort of silver plated version of your regular MU.

Yeah, I get it...but it looks shiny enough to me I mean honestly how many more silver plated mullet versions did they need? They can't make every model come out in Gold, Rapala staple color, - including the SP -, but yet they needed 3 different silver plated mullet versions? And those worked out so well they discontinued them...just sayin'...

If you look at one in real life then it'll remind you of the SSR14 MU. I still don't get why it's shiney in the pic on the Rapala web site.
