How many of your personal best fish have you caught on Rapalas and which Rapala were they? Last year in 2009 I caught 2 new personal bests and both were on Rapalas. One of them was a nice 5.1 pound brown trout while jigging in the ice with a W5 GT. The other was a 3 pound chain pickerel with a SSR-7 SH. My personal best walleye was a nice 23"er that came on a JSR-7 SD. Once caught a very fat 22 inch by 20 inch 8 pound largemouth with a SSR-7 P. 2008 was very good to me with crappie and caught a new PB crappie between 1 1/2 and 2 pounds with a F-7 SH. My personal best pumpkinseed sunfish was caught last year. It was a chubby 9" fish with a weight of 10 ounces which is a trophy pumpkinseed. Caught it was a SSR-5 SH.

This past summer, I caught my personal best smallmouth, although I didn't weigh it, I knew that it was my biggest. I used the Rapala Skitter Pop SP07 Model, in firetiger pattern. Tossed it near the edge of some lilipads, popped poppped popped paused, and he struck then Cant go wrong with the skitter pop!

i caught my personal best bass with an xr8 perch color. he was only 4lb 2oz, but 4 where i fish(s. jersey) that aint too bad. caught my biggest chain pickerel with a j11 pike color. had no scale at the time, but he was by far the biggest pickerel i have ever seen. i would guess 4.5 maybe 5. i caught my biggest crappie on dt-flat3 in bleeding olive shiner(great color). caught the biggest bluegill ive ever seen last year on a dt fat3 custom painted chartreuse splatterback, painted by joes custom baits. i thought it was a bass it was so big. also caught my first perch ever on ssr5 bluegill, but it was the size of my hand so i have trouble calling that good, let alone a personal best!!! beautiful fish though!!!

just checked the pics, bluefishbuster. i think your largemouth ate my personal best!!! nice trout too!!!! That largemouth weighed just under 8 pounds. Big thing about it was not that it had a length of 22 inches but it had a girth of 20 inches! I caught it on 4/22/07 at a golf course where there's lots of smaller bass and many bluegills and pumpkinseeds. So I had no idea if it was a pregnant female or if it had eaten plenty of bass, bluegills, or pumpkinseeds.

I caught my very first Musky on the big jointed X-Rap Shad after 4 years and using every type of musky lure on the market. It was a 32" Tiger Musky.
