well, i made my way out for the first ice fishing of 2010 this morning, didnt stay up to see the ball drop, so i was good to go early, first off, i forgot my hat cam, crap. picked up my brother in law and headed out to a new lake to try, he managed to jerk up one small perch, i had nothing, but saw a walleye swim past my hole, right below the ice, could have grabbed him. then my brand new underwater camera stopped working  good thing i was headed to cabelas tomorrow anyway so i can take it back and get a new one or my money back. and to top it off, we stopped at the baitshop on our way out, not our way to the lake, and found out they the next lake was where they were biteing, guess they were catching a lot of walleyes and perch about 1 mile from where we were fishing on another lake, if we had only stopped there earlier to know where the fishing was good. what a bust. going out on the 9th for sure, hope to get out once or twice before then too, but i doubt i will be getting to post the first fish pic of the year. bacon |

Not me!
My last released fish was a pretty fat 14lbs Zander last Sunday in ยด09. I was fishing almost every day since that, but it seems there are no fishes anymore. A lot of ice is out there overall an friggin cold...

got out today for a while, brother in law an i hit a new lake and actually found the fish, every one esle we saw was skunked, but managed to find a hot hole of perch, and shared a nice little pile of filets, just relized that i never got a picture of them, i tried out the hat cam, but still need to look it over and see if i actually filmed anything, or just the wall of the ice shack. it was wierd, i have never seen fishing like that. had the flasher down, there were times that the whole zoom portion of the flasher was red, had no idea where our lures even were with all those perch down there. there were a lot of dinks, come to think of it, i can take pictures still, i put 2 of our dinks the new aquarium, i think at least one will make it, the other is still suffering from the 'bends'
well off to bed, building a lid for said aquarium tomorrow and then watching the packers play there first playoff game on the road to the super bowl vs. the Jets, hey it could happen....

just good to hear someone caught some fish!!!! i cant wait much longer!! damn winter has me feeling like i got the 'bends'. good luck with that pack jets thing, stranger things have happened!!!

There were 3 shacks on the ice. If u look way out u can see open water and water near the shore
