Is there such a thing as a Lipless LCM-10? I was poking around on the web and noticed one for sale. The color is PH and on the box there is a sticker that says 'Shallow Dancer'.

Nigel yes there is - the are Japan Specials that come in LongCast boxes (usually) and they are basically LCMs minus the lip. They usually have 'shallow dancer' on a sticker on the box... Come to think of it, I did have a couple of these once, I should have kept them to fish with...

do these work like the LCM? Just the only lipless hard baits i know of are jerkbaits, the sort where the line is attatched to the back, and jointed lures. Or is this lure just a jerkbait? But then surely it should be released as a different lure altogether???

Since the LCM is a floating lure, I suspect that these LCL's sit in the water with their head sticking up, kind of like any 'walk the dog' type of surface lure. The casting weight would move to the rear and hold the lure upright. These lures are packaged kind of strangely in that they come in Long Cast Minnow boxes (such as LCM-10) but there is a sticker on the lid that says 'Shallow Dancer' . I have never gotten one to fish with but I would like to, but I always seem to be snakebit with topwaters so I haven't yet.

OK, i thought it might be a jerkbait, it would have been cool if it worked like a crankabit though They had a LCM in the tackle shop in spain, i can't remember what it was like now, but it was defo there. I am gonna buy it next time i go over (probably february) . They never sell any lures there, i went over there and saw lures that were there over 2 years ago. They make their money from selling boats, the lures are just a thing on the side.
