I know that the adverts say that the most successful Rapala is the Original Floating but what do the members of RapalaNation say?
Which Rapala have you had the most success with? Model, size, color?
Maybe with the winter upon us there will be time to reflect and come up with some useful statistics.
So could it be the Original Floating, the Husky Jerk or maybe the Minnow Rap......

I've caught a lot of river smallies with the original floater in gold or silver . My favorite lake rap is the old silver/blk sr7 shad rap for bass. The Husky jerk 14 is my favorite Rapala for nite walleye fishing in the clown and chrome/blue colors.

I have caught a TON of bass on both a floating (F-7 S) and a skitter pop (SP-7 S). However, I have caught larger bass on texas rigged plastics.
For walleye, you cant go wrong with a husky jerk (HJ-12 in SGM or CLN). I have had good luck with a floating (F-11 G) also. All are mostly a colder water thing.
It really depends on time of year and what type of body of water you are fishing.

The F-7... By a huuuuuuge margin. Both the largest number of bass and the biggest fish I've ever caught were on F-7's, especially the RT in early summer. To be fair, my collection at the time wasn't a quarter of what it is now (and even now it's nothing special ). I'll let you know at the end of this season!

my use of rapala is limited in the fact i fish for only salmon and seatrout, my most successful is the countdown hence why i first started to collect them, silver in clear water and gfr in coloured, but in the last yr or so the hot mustard has been a killer, night time small skitter pop or floating original with broken diving vains

Mine is the good old (bill breakin') Dt's...! It's kind of a love hate thing! I love them but have broke so many bill's off that I hate them too.. The dt6 is perfect for most of our water's here and the rapala bluegill color is just killer.

F13 in Silver or Gold; I have gotten to the point when I can't use smaller baits anymore. The good thing about this size is even with more medium to medium heavy rods I can still cast them pretty well. Of course Steve will laugh at me because the thickest line I use is 12lbs...

I have caught more bass with the SSR-7 P than any other Rapala. My PB bass was a monster 8 pounder that had a length of 22 inches and a girth of 20. Caught it on a SSR-7 P. I have also caught tons of crappie, yellow perch, and chain pickerel on a variety of SSR's. My best walleye lure is the JSR.

i fish often and with many different rapalas, but never get far away from my local relatively shallow lakes(s. jersey). i fish mainly for bass but catch chain pickerel, crappie, and perch as well.that said, my list is heavy with shallow running baits, so take it for what its worth. 1. j9 perch, yellow perch pb pickerel caught on j11 pike 2. skitter pop7 frog, but have had success with 10 out of 11 sp7 i have 3. f9 perch 4. x-rap 5 dt flat3 bos my newest favorite. silver is great too. 6. ssr7 silver, clown 7. dt fat3

It's gotta be a a toss-up between the DT's and X-Raps for me.
A DT 6 or 10 in Brown Crawdad or an X-Rap size 10 in Clown, Pink or Glass Ghost take a large number of Smallmouth Bass here on the Wisconsin River.

Forgot to say, the SSR-7 caught me another Personal Best fish last year. August 2009 I saw a chain pickerel come shooting out and grab that Shallow Shad Rap hard. Caught an even 3 pound chain pickerel.

Original Floating F-11 would be my pick over the last several years. Prefer the Shiner and Silver/Chartreuse color patterns.
There's something about that extra hook as compared to the smaller floaters!
