hi there , im just thinking that they produced the euro 2008 shad raps with flags on, and we have the world cup football, (soccer) to some of you, coming next sumer are they going to do it again ? i hope so i think it would look cool with the union jack.  |

yes, i agree, more flags could be nice, but i am afraid it will not happen ...
the euro colors were a total disaster.
they are lying around in the shops somewhere way in the back, sales are close to nil ...
you can find them on german ebay now in sets where a few (popular?) colors have been removed at real low price, considering these should have been sold at 8.95 euro each; which would be about 140 euro (or $210) for a full set of 16 different colors.
sometimes single lures go only to 3-4 euro, the sets of 10 or more to about 30 euro.
so i guess rapala has learned that the "plastic beans" as one member here called them were far from a success.
if they put these flags on a different lure, maybe it would be a whole different story.
the SSR is coming to my mind, as well as FR-7 or RFR-7 ...
best of all could be a SFR-7 in all participating country colors, and you US boys for once would pray your team qualifying for the soccer world cup ... LOL

They need to do them in limited supply too. Countdowns would be a good fit for Europe too. Never sold a Shad Rap to Europe yet...LOL

i snagged one of them with the rapala football, i just have to get the other 15, worst part is that im not even sure what flag i do have. '  :-Xplastic bean' that might be the best discription for the SRRS i have ever heard. im not sure how they can still be making these, and the CDSR never made it to full US production. i relize that they look just like a SSR, but couldnt they do something to seperate them. this is for any Rapala Execs that lurk on this board, bring back the CDSR 8 and bring in a 9, and make the lip red, or at least something to seperate them from the SSR. ok i know that is a real shot in the dark, but you all saw it here first, so if we see the bleeding CDSR's new for 2011, im claiming responsiblity. bacon |
