I'm looking into using a Twitchin Rap for saltwater action. I see on Rapala's web site they say that it has suspending action in saltwater. Another thing I'm wondering about if it has any life-like wobble to it while reeling it.

I've used them with mixed results. I wish they would either make a larger version like a size 10, or make the Glidin Rap smaller to a size 10. One problem with them is that the line always seems to get caught in the split rings - for some reason the split rings on these lures are large relative to the lure. They definitely don't have any wobble action to them, you have to do the work yourself with these...

i got the Glidin rap, its a huge lure, will work great for bluefish and large striped bass. I like it alot because usually those kinds of baits are very expensive but rapala has the quality, colors, and cost all right.

After casting it for a few hours I thought I had been to the gym Think I'll stick to the X-Raps and lures up to around 25g

Those Glidin Raps don't exactly make for a soft presentation either when they hit the water!

The twitchin rap has fine action, its a great lure and will work for you. I wouldn't use the glidin raps.

I love the Glidin' rap for just that reason. Because it is so heavy I can launch it for miles, long beyond my range with anything other than a len thompson spoon. I do a lot of shore fishing and so I find this trait invaluable. Combined with the fact that it works side-to-side more than forwards, I can fish it back for an incredible amount of time on one cast and so it stays in the water and in front of the fish for longer.

And sometimes a big splash is exactly what's needed to spike the curiosity of a big predatory fish

I agree that a smaller version of the gliding would be a good lure. Also the weight is better for the casting with a light rod. For the Twitchin...well, I have two twitchin raps but I don't use them(yet), find them very lightweighted for a good cast
