Guys, I read this article in FLW magazine in the Tips from the pro section saying that in order to minimize the number of rods and retying time; you can take off the split rings from the lures and tie a 20lbs rated snap (#1) in your line.
I know that it will save me the time but will it change the action of the lures.

I use a snap and do not remove the split ring. The larger the snap is the more aggressive wobble you will get. Early in the spring I will use a very small snap and as the water warms up I use bigger ones. A snap is the same concept as a Rapala knot (having the loop).

I use one because I am too lazy and changing lures every 47 seconds
