If I remember right, Ted mentioned that glass fat raps are not in the new catalog. Are those the only discontinued lures??. What about Twitchin rap, I got the feeling it will be replaced by the x-rap subwalk. Also, will they continue producing stitter walks. Just wondering which lures will be out, so that I have time to buy them before they are gone. I recently purchased a few glass fat raps.....

The Twitchin Raps and Skitter Walks are both still there. I think it is safe to say that the Glass Fat Raps will soon be no more. Usually bargain bins of a certain lure is usually a telltale sign...

Thanks, good to know they are still in the catalog... You guys up north are lucky of having all those tackle stores. Here in souther NM it's very hard to find tackle stores. Walmart, Target and Big 5 are all we have. If you drive some 30min you can get to an Academy (which has very limited amounts of rapalas). Then some 3 hours from here you have a Sportsman warehouse. An x-rap is hi-tech down here!!!
What else can you find there in bargain bins lately??

What else can you find there in bargain bins lately?? osprey I really have not seen much in bargain bins other than Glass Fat Raps - come to think of it, it has been a very long time since I had seen any other Rapala in a bin of that sort. Retail stores are over-rated - yeah, I will admit its always fun to go and look, I go at least once a week - but you can get better deals and then some online, definitely. I should post a list of some of the best places I have found and used regularlyt... |

I went to Raleigh this past weekend and stopped by Dick's Sporting Goods. They had Glass Fat Raps marked down to $3.99 on the shelf. I picked up a few and when I got home and looked at my receipt they charged only $2.99 ea. I've got to go back to Raleigh on Tuesday, so I'll be making another stop and pick up some more at that price.

Yep, $2.99 ea is a great deal!! I wonder why Dick's Sporting Goods doesn't have Rapalas for sale online.....
Ted, it would be very nice from you if you post a list of those places........
