I'm in northern California and I was wondering if anyone knew when and where brown trout spawn in a river, and how to target them with rapalas.

Thanks for the welcome! I was excited to find this website. I think rapalas are the finest lure you can buy and I love chasing big browns with them.

hi and , in the uk the trout spawns in oct/november time, and best lures tend to be countdown and esko, or vibrax spinner baits,  |

browns spawn in the fall and rainbows in the spring they come up with the salmon and fatten up all the salmon eggs and then spawn.i live on the east coast and in early fall the browns and salmon start running than the steel haed and rainbows start running up all the rivers but it all depands on the water *****TEMP*****they will set in the mouth of rivers just waiting for the water to be just right and than they are gone up the river.
