OK, i found this stupid technique when using a countdown. Don't ask how i found it (LOL). Well basically, you need to clip the lure on backwards (yes really). The lure spins, wobbles and flashes its way back, looking even more yummy than when clipped on normally. I tried it with a CD11, i don't know whether it will also work with the other sizes, but i would have thought it would??? The deep version shad rap works well too, it rolls side to side real slow, in a custom crawdad pattern with claws on like those Barry made, i would imagine it would be a killer (cos crayfish swim backwards).

LOL, that has got to be the coolest excuse ever! I wish i was able to say that more often. In the end i did go fishing today, but all i caught was a bunch of weed and a VMC treble in my finger. Ouch!

Another tip i found today, although not as stupid as clipping the countdown on backwards, is one with the flat rap. With my FLR10FT Ted sent me, i noticed that if you wind the lure down to a bit of depth, you can pause the lure and twitch it very gently. The lure will roll and wobble almost on the spot, and because i'm using the firetiger colour, i can see multicoloured flashes through the water from my lure when its 2 or 3 foot below the surface!
