Apparently rapala has been bought by shimano, has anyone else heard anything about this?

shimano does the distribution of lures to the uk, italy,germany and the netherlands, sure thats right, but i have heard they may have lost it, i sure hope so because they are useless, in my neck of the woods anyhow,

As you all know, the only places i know of with plentiful supplies of rapalas are ebay, and a tackle shop in Spain, which i only get to visit when we go on holiday (obviously). I found a clackin' rap in one of my local tackle shops, as well as 2 or 3 other types of rapalas (which i didn't buy), but they had all gone by the next time i went back, and that was the only time i have ever seen rapalas in a tackle shop here in the UK
