Just get this from one of the local dealer. The color of the CD9 CLN seen to be a bit odd to me. The lure don;t have the usual clown patten painted on it but the curious thing is that the lure is still in the unopen box. Can this be the color had been faded away? or can this be the mistake of the Rapala? Can anyone help? Comparison between 2 rapala CD clown Close up photo hang tag

I think that looks really cool. I have never seen that before on a cd-9 but maybe one of the pros have. If they had another let me know! -bulldog21

I have a couple of Floating Original Specials that color. I think its probably a special without the special box. Not 100% sure though.

I've just browse thru Jason's Collection and found the same lure. This is lure CD9 Clown Japan Special. How can they put the lure in the wrong box?

I don't know how it happens. I ran across it once too. Here is a FR-7 Clown sealed in a Silver Gold box: Maybe it was a llllooonnnggg day or maybe they ran out of boxes?
