OK, this isn't exactly 'Bragging' but I did manage to catch some fish even if they were small Small sea bass on a Rapala CD1Sea bream on a Rapala CD1Obviously with a CD1 I was using my ultra-light gear and those fish put up a good fight before they were released -- catch, photo and release - what else? The sea bass was a real bonus. There aren't many in the Med and even this small one was worth a lot to me (I actually hooked another sea bass but just as I was about to lift him out of the water, he shook his head a few times and threw the hook). A view from the cliff top of the 'rock' that I was fishing fromGood job the water temps are still warm as I had to get a bit wet getting onto the rock and also a few good waves got me pretty wet I shall definitely be going back to the same spot in the near future.

good pictures nigel Thanks Mark. I don't get out fishing as much as I would like to but recently some folks have contacted me through my fishing website asking about places to fish in Israel - so I kind of have to get out more to find different spots and get to know them Which can't be bad I'm ordering some lightweight chest waders from a seller on eBay (just waiting for his invoice) so that I can go fishing through the winter/spring without having to get wet and cold from the waves splashing me

Nice pics! Catching any fish is fun, and even moreso when you catch them on lures! Please be careful with the waiders in the surf!!! You step into a hole or a big wave knocks you down and the waiders fill with water it can get ugly real quick.

I'll remember that Actually I intend to use them on the semi-submerged reefs on calmer days. In the summer the water temp is fine but the winter/spring water temps are not conducive to standing in 15cm of moving sea water - brrrrr.
