I mentioned in another thread about how great the LC10 is. Another lure that is great for the shallow reefs is the Floating Magnum 9. It does swim deeper than the LC 10 but pausing and lifting the rod tip as it approaches the breakwater rocks allows it to float up and over the snags. The only problem is is that Rapala don't make it anymore  It has to be one of their best lures. It is possible to find them on eBay from time to time but the money that sellers are asking is ridiculous -- same goes for the LC 10. So are there any 'replacements' for the Floating Magnum 9? |

There is still pretty easy to find Magnum Floating 9 and 11 cm in stores here in Finland.

Are you sure this lure has been discountinued ? It's still listed on the rapala europe site.

they just hang in the local tackle store here.. not hard to get if you ask me.
