The blue craw happens to be a little less flashy than a PRT or BG. I prefer to throw darker lures on darker/overcast days. This just looks more natural in the water because baitfish are going to give off less flash on overcast days. Hope this helps

In my opinion, i think it will make absolutely no difference whether you throw the blue craw, or another similar blue colour, such as parrot. Everybody has their own opinions, but mine is that colour is nowhere near as important as many believe. I'm not saying colours don't make a difference, at times they make a lot of difference, and yes i have my favourite colours just like everyone else, orange, silver, and black in particular seem to catch me the most fish. However, what i am saying is that i really don't think that a fish will even notice the difference between a blue craw or a parrot colouration on the same lure. In fact, i personally don't think the fish even think the blue craw, or most craw patterns are actually crayfish, but hey, i could be totally wrong.

In what situation should I throw the new Blue Craw DT as opposed to the a Parrot or Bluegill color? The MBCW Molting Blue Craw color is supposed to resemble a color phase that crayfish go through. It was a few years ago I noticed this color phase in a local river so the best time to use it IMO would be when the crayfish in your waters are going through this molting phase. Although I think it work at any time. I like to think of fishing like a jigsaw puzzle you need to put the pieces together to catch fish consistently and this color is another piece of the puzzle.Try it out and see what happens, heck it might be the hot color of the day
