FAKE RAPALA LURES

Hey guys...is there anyone from this forum encountered or purchased "fake rapala lures"?

Can you share some info how to differentiate "fake" from the original?

If you have an example of which lures specifically, Im sure we can help.
Usually the biggest giveaway is the packaging. Sometimes you'll see lures packaged in blister packs with the Rapala logo on them, but the lures are cheap (and usually look nothing like a Rapala) China lures.

If you have any doubts on anything, post them here and we can all help....and welcome aboard!

Another way to tell is by looking at the diving lip of the lure.To the best of my knowledge all Rapala lures have "Rapala" on the lip.

Thanks guys for the information. Will try to post a picture of the lure...after 1 day of used, the color finishing suffers and actual woods appeared.

I know Rapala has been accused of some quality issues as of late, but that doesn't sound like one of their lures. Post a picture when you can.

Hi guys ; I need an address to which to send a Rapala , TO Rapala , to check authenticity .

Been using them for over 45 years , and seen only 1 that did not say 'Finland' on the lip . (even these say 'Rapala')

Bought a lot of 5 new J-9's on eBay , and paid almost retail . For that price , I wanna' know AUTHENTIC ...

IDK if rapala has a "authenticity check", but if you send them the link where you bought them probably they can help
