I found this tackle shop and it has a bunch of really cool Rapalas. One of which is fire tiger countdown with a bleeding pattern, but not the pattern that is on current bleeding lures. It is also made in Ireland as apposed to Estonia. Should I leave it in the box or throw it in the water.

could you show a pic?
i guess with bleeding pattern you are referring to the red gill version. this is also called FT2, while the first one is called, you guessed, FT1, and the latest edition is FT3. many of us think the FT1 is the best looking, and you can still find some of these around.
best, w.

To sum up what CDJ had to say, ha rhymes, but i would say yeah you can go ahead and throw it. To my understanding you were asking if this was a rare or harder to get color, the answer is really no. You can probably find this color well here for sure and probably on ebay. Its just the last pattern that they used for firetiger. With the years come more and more digitalized images on the lures which a lot of fisherman do not like. So the answer to your question is catch some fish with it. Hope this helps
