Does anyone know where you can buy the Rapala Rods in the United States? They actually had them on there site in the middle of 2010 and were on a promotional sale of $50. They have since removed them and if you can find them, they go for $100.
anyone ever see them in stores?

I have one, a medium action 2 piece cork handled 6'6" spinning Rapala rod that I picked up for my wife to use when we fish together. It is a decent mid level rod that I bought on sale for well below $50 some years ago at Gander Mtn. Don't know if you can still find them there, I haven't looked for them, but I think the reason it was on sale when I got it was they were clearing them out, probably discontinuing them. I think I may have seen a Rapala beginners fishing kit with rod, reel, line and some terminal tackle for sale at Target, but I'm pretty sure it was bundled as an entry level outfit, probably not what you're looking for.

I bought one off eBay a couple years back. It's a 7-foot ultra-light that I bought for a spare. Right now it's still in the original wrapping with all the original tags. Since I havn't used it yet, I can't testify as to its quality. Anyway, eBay would be a good place to look for Rapala rods. I don't know about Amazon.com, but you could check there, too.
Hope this helps!
Mike
