I too am a big fan of Southern Comfort! Ever try a Southern Comfort Old Fashioned? Start with a rocks glass packed with ice: -2 oz. Southern Comfort -1 oz. simple syrup (basically super saturated sugar water) -3 to 4 dashes of Angostura Bitters -top off with Squirt soda (a lemon/lime/grapefruit pop) -garnish with cherries and an orange wedge or green olives Enjoy!

well, i do not drink diluted alcohol ...
only whisky and whiskey.
bourbon, canadian, irish, scotch, japanese, bavarian ...
but usually it is single malt: lagavulin 12y and 16y, ardbeg, springbank, glenfiddich 15y, glenfarclas 105, macallan, arran, bowmore.
it tastes best before breakfast as a "wake up call" on an irish lake at 6 in the morning just before you go out for sea trout, or after a day of fly fishing when you tackled down and sit by the river and smoke a cigar.

Yeah not too much mixing going on over here either. I basically just drink it on the rocks, if someone is drinking a rootbeer or dr pepper i may throw a splash in there. If you cant taste the liquor it aint worth drinkin.

LOL i use everclear to pickle smelt, that is some truely wicked stuff, its basically ethanol. the funny thing about it is that it is really pure alcohol, even though its only 190 proof(yeah, only right!) thats 95%, because at that point, in order to gain that last 5%, you have to distill it in a vacuum, and then consume it in a vacuum. because the alcohol is so dry that it draws in moisture from the air around it until it reaches the 95% mark and stabilizes. also thats what makes it handy for pickling fish(not for eating, just for bait) it draws the moisture out, and kills anything living, ie viruses. so far im not sure if the boozed up smelt work any better or worse then regular smelt, it makes them tougher, that i do know. i went fishing, caught two mermaids, and one smelt, so i threw her back bacon
