What the hell are those?  ?    is exactly what i just went through....The red and yellow one are the two coolest raps that i have ever seen. They remind me of a bowling ball for some reason. Awesome find  Keenan |

i had also seen them, but i think that these are a type of custom jobs. its had abalone(like mother of pearl) applied to it. i did a little research to find out if this was something that rapala might have done, but i found alot of other lure brands that were similarly done. i have seen a couple of other similar rapalas after searching, but i personally dont believe that these are rapala made, but custom done. probably somewhat famously done in japan, but only over there per say.

Jason these are different than the Rapala 'shell' lures I have seen..right?
The shell ones look like 100% Rapala Japan Specials, the ones sold without trebles, and the eyes are not modified in any way.
I owned some once I wonder if I still have the pics somewhere...
