Well the wife turned her back and I bought 15 Rapalas at Dicks with the intention of taking advantage of the Rapala promotion to buy 5 lures and get a free lure. I got home and after I got through putting the lures in the appropriate tackle boxes I looked for the required receipt and could not find it  I guess I'll have to go out and buy 5 more Rapalas  I don't really understand why, but Dicks had some Maxraps in the clearance bins for 12.99. They've hardly been out long enough to be clearance items. They had glass fat raps marked 3.99 but when I checked out they charged 1.99  Good deal!! |

Keep in mind that deal is one per household...so you'll need to send some lures to your friends and so forth in order to do it...and then you'll have to actually get the lures back! |

Did this about a month ago. Just received my free lure today. Number 7 minnow rap in copper flash. Free is free but I have to say I never cared for the minnow rap. I have a feeling based on the large number in the bargin bins this winter they wont be around long and could be a common free lure.

The bleeding colors arent a good look for the Minnow Rap - but I'm telling you, try it early in the year just after ice out when the fish are deeper. The MR-7s are good for yellow perch & crappie where I am. The MR-11 and MR-9 in Silver can't be beat, cant say as much for the other colors though.... |

Well the wife turned her back again! This time I bought 25 Rapalas. As it turned out I came to the realization that lures are made to catch fishermen as much as they are fish. When I got home and started looking through my bounty, I discovered that I already had some of the lures I purchased in my tackle box or collection. I'm a sucker for the perch and yellow perch colors.  Did get a few decent finds. A HJ-10 in silver plated clown, a couple original floaters in Bleeding Chart. Shad and 6 glass fat raps for $1.99 ea. Since I've got several of the glass fat raps now I think I'm going to try fishing with some. Up to this point I've just been tucking them away. As for the Rapala promotion, I think I'll get my daughter to send off for the free lure. That way if she decides to keep the free lure when it arrives it will be OK with me. I still haven't received the lure as of yet. Been about a month since I sent the materials off so it shouldn't be too much longer. |

Dang I can't even find glass shad raps let alone for $1.99, though gander mountain had a dt thug in their 75% off bin so I got it for $1.74....and my girlfriend decided it was hers and took it lol

Finally, i got home today and there was a neat little package from Rapala in the mailbox with a DT 14 in GFR in it. I am very happy with it, especially when it was a freebie  |

Got my free lure from Rapala today! DTSS10 GFC. A DT10 in Green Fl. Chartreuse. Amazingly not a color that I have. Good deal, I'm happy |

Glad to see some people have gotten some nice lures. I have received two #7 Minnow raps in Copper Flash. Yes two. I even sent them in months apart. I dont know that I can think of a worse bait they produce then the #7 Minnow rap in the CF. I just gave them away. Wish the color and the size was different. Sorry for the vent  |

My promotional lure ended up being a DTFSS-7 in gold. I don't think I could have picked a better one myself (the demise of the gold in the DT series is one of the most inexplicable occurrences I can imagine.)
I did conduct an experiment while filling out the forms. One form (this one) had all of the new clackin lures, so the receipt for the five was around $50. The other form I filled out used clearance items, and totaled about $25 in lures. We'll see if I get the dreaded bleeding copper MR-7 (or worse) with the other form. Or its all just a crapshoot (most likely.)

I hope thats not the case haha cus I bought 5 DT's for a total of $20, although a few years ago I did this and spent about $35 and only recieved a rattlin rap in baby bass. I was happy with it but I wasnt expecting to get the cheapest lure they make |

I would rather have that than another rattlin rapala I only have 1 MR-7 and its a limited edition color sitting in with my collection. This might just join it haha |

My local Dick's had selected crankin' raps for $3.18 each, so I expect that the five I purchased will entitle me to a used jigging rap.

Got my second free lure (had my parents send it in haha) Receipt had 24 glass fat raps on it for $1.99 each, and recieved a DTflat 3 in gold Too bad I already have one  At least its a useable lure for me |
