Although I didn't catch anything, I had a great weekend (Thursday evening through Saturday afternoon).
Got up before sunrise and walked down the long beach:
The water level is very low (I was standing where the water level should be!)
As it started getting lighter I could make out catfish swimming past me every so often and could hear a lot of splashing going on over by the shore behind me to my right. After the sun came up

I went over real quietly to see what was going on
Spawning Carp in the shallows
The next morning, when I didn't see any catfish nor hear any [spawning] carp, I put 2 and 2 together and figured that the catfish, which I had also seen pushing their way through the weeds where the carp had been spawning, were after their eggs.
