i don't know how to convert it, but a couple months ago here in italy we arrived at 2 euros / 1 lt.
i installed an lpg tank on my car (an old, but very cheap one), since it is much cheaper. you lose some on performance and have a little more fuel usage, but its low price makes it a good deal.

Speaking of gas prices, I find it humerous that my local gas station has E85 for $3.349 and their 87 octance 10% ethanol is $3.399. Who would get E85 just to save 5 cents? I can see if you are running a turbo car tuned for E85, but on any other car the gas mileage would suffer causing you to lose much more than the 5 cents per gallon you save.

Here where we live - Regular Unleaded is $3.27 and 10% Ethanol is $3.17 - always @ 10 cents less. E-85 is usually @ 80 cents less (please don't hold me to this - I don't pay much attention to it!) Maybe when I go to town today - I'll check! Oh - TED - BTW: We are just factoring the cost of going to the tackle store - it's all about the "Nation"!

on ethanol - some cars made in brazil are tuned to use that fuel, so regular unleaded would cause them some troubles.
i don't think any of them are in the us market, but it sometimes happened in european market, especially a few years ago. my brother had an old fiat uno made in brazil, it didn't work well. after a few time, he discovered that the carburettor was not one for unleaded, but the ethanol one!!! he changed the carburettor, and it started working as espected
