All you skilled lure tricksters out there with your airbrushes and your dremel tools...... I was wondering something.... ya know how the DT's have that big ol belly that looks like they've been going to IHOP for years? Well.... can one of you guys give them liposuction or something? Trim it down a bit? I'd be interested to see how that looks.
I did a little investigating and if you shave off the paint and foil there is a big lead or steel weight around the hook hanger, dunno if that can be easily removed or what. It would probably be quite a task.

They already did that - it's called the DT-THUG (They actually do have the THUG listed as a size '6') I combined a pic of both lures, to be fair the default picture for all DTs is the DT-10, the DT-6 has the lip pointed somewhat downward, like the THUG...but I think you get my point.

Ya know... I never made that connection. I knew the Thug was a fine looking crank, but seeing that comparison makes me realise the concept behind the thug. I guess Rapala fans might have been pushing Rapala to do the same thing I asked about.
I wonder if that down-facing lip would produce wider wobble? The DT-6 is my favoite DT, because it puts out a lot of vibe, but doesn't have a wide wobble, it's like, the lip moves back and forth more times per foot than any other crank I've ever seen.
