Saturday afternoon was the first time we fished our new lake.
I didn’t have much time to fish myself cause I was travelling back and forth between my two boys unhooking pike. They were just post-spawn and very hungry. It seems there is not much food left in this lake; so the major mission now is to catch food and transfer into the lake …
Lures that caught fish:
SSR5 SB
HJ12 S
SSR8 S
Bagley bang o 4” silver
It seemed the fish were hitting anything we tried but a SSR7 SFC and a bagley top gun 4” gold.
Simon had a fish following and missing 5x a Storm chug bug 6 cm on 2 consecutive casts.
In about 1 hour of fishing we caught 8 fish between 25 and a little over 40”.
Right now the lake doesn’t look like much, but as soon as the weeds and reeds start to grow I will post some pics.
