Hey everyone, sorry I've not been around much recently, I've been really busy with loads of other stuff. Anyway, i managed to go fishing on Tuesday as its the easter holidays. Treble hooks are now banned on my local lake until October, something about protecting the wels catfish in there, so in order to fish with my glidin rap i had to take both trebles off and put a size 2 catfish hook on a swivel onto the loop on the belly of the lure. This completely changes the action of the lure though, it doesn't glide left and right with the single hook, instead it wobbles off in a random direction.
Anyway, i went fishing with my modified glidin rap , i landed 6 pike, had 3 come off on the fight (1 felt like a nice sized fish), had maybe a dozen takes that i missed, and had probably 15 follows. All but one follow was to the glidin rap. I used loads of different lures, but apart from one follow to a savage gear 4-play modified in the same way, nothing even interested the pike.
Thanks to my glidin rap, that was the best day out pike fishing i have ever had!
