Some people have too much money that they don't know what to do with

I think some people look at these old lures as Folk art. Like wood Duck Decoys. Some old wood duck decoys sell for a few thousand to a few hundred thousand dollars.

i know i was shocked when i figured it out for our insurance, more then i realized. not bad, i figure there has been a nice increase in certain parts of the collection. and most of it isnt going to lose value, so its not a bad investment, but i dont plan on selling it baring some serious.

This would take some serious work to figure out. If I sold each item I have, for $ 5 a piece. It would be worth roughly $25,000.

I have no idea what my collection is worth. I really should do some kind of inventory for insurance. It would just kill me if something happened. These tornados that we just had in NC really got me thinking about getting busy and documenting what I have. I've taken some general pictures, but that wouldn't be enough. I have about 50 lure boards that would add up very quickly for a claim.

Jaketomberlin, I wander into your turf occasionally (Dick's in Raleigh and the fairgrounds flea market) but mostly I'm searching the coastal plains and coastal regions. When I go to the mountains that is where I get the best flea market finds.

Really? You make good finds in the mountains? I live near Asheville, N.C. and have hit almost every place that looks like it might have lures. North to Virginia, south to South Carolina, and East to Tennesse. I've been all over the Appalachain mountains looking for Raps, but I haven't really hit too many flea markets yet. I guess I will have to get on that! Do you remember where in the mountains you have been? Like what county or city?

There are two different flea markets that I check out whenever passing through on I-40. They are both East of Asheville but I cannot remember exactly where. I'll be going through there in two weeks and I'll make a note of where they are and let you know.

I have 153 rapalas so at 5 a piece would be $765, but the majority of my rapalas are worth more than $5 each so I would say somewhere around $1000. I never knew I had anywhere close to 153 lol I thought I had about 70

I would love to watch also. Problem is, I dont think I could ever list them in one lump sum. I just dont think I would be happy with the final outcome. At least not in these slow times. Be better off to list them all separate. Can you imagine how long that would take

lol 1500 USD would probably only buy about 6 nice lures out of his collection.

Jason, just curious. What does Rapala "bloodhound" mean? I've always thought it was like you can find a rare Rapala like a Bloodhound can find anything within miles that you tell it to.
I'm probably wayyy off..... lol. I was just curious.
