Help with depth on the smaller Down Deep Fat Rap.

Hi guys, I am new to the site.

I have a bunch of both sizes and am trying to figure out how deep the smaller one runs? Does it run the same depth as the big one?

Not really much on collecting them as have 4 fat boxes in my go to bag full of multiple colors of Down deeps, Risto's and Shad Raps.

hi travis, and welcome to the site. i dont think that they ever put the diving depths on the package of the down deeps or the ristos, but in my experience, the ristos are
RR4 4-6ft
RR5 6-8ft
RR7 10-12ft
RR8 12-14ft
RR9 15-18ft
however the 8 and 9 have a serious problem of running flat at max depth, so they were prone to snags and break offs. thats why they discontinued them

the DRFR 5 will go to about 15 or so
and DRFR 7 will go to about 18-20.

not official, but just how i feel that they run. rapala made a diving chart, but only after they discontinued these lures, so i dont believe they were included.

in my book, they were both great crankbaits, but the dives to series is very good too and the advantage of the diving depth right in the name and on the lip is a plus.

The ones I have are in 2-1/4, 2-3/4 & 3 1/2 inches.

Do you know what the matching model #'s are?
