Thought you guys might like to see some of my fatraps. The one that started it all off for me was a little FR5-SM that my daughter found washed up on the shore of Lake Kulovesi in Finland. We were staying in a beautiful log cabin in the summer on a family holiday a few years back and as we walked along the shore my little girl shouted "Daddy a Rapala! " There it was rather battered and unloved, with rusted hooks and looking a little sorry for itself. Lake Kulovesi is about 32 miles long so it could have been lost years before. I had my rod with me and Beth my daughter wanted to see if it would still wiggle. So i removed the rusted stumps of hooks and flicked it out. On the third turn of the reel handle we saw a fat perch grab the hookless lure in the crystal clear water. This just had to be a lucky lure!! I cleaned it up the best i could and put a couple of fresh hooks on, making the front treble a red one, just to pimp it up a little. We must have had over 30 perch on it that week and it's been a favourite ever since. THE KULOVESI FAT RAP FOUND BY MY DAUGHTER SOME OTHER FAT RAPS IN MY COLLECTION INCLUDING A COUPLE OF LOVELY OLD FR7-CW'S THE OLDEST OF THE FR7-CW'S WITH IT'S OLD STYLE BOX

Very nice My girlfriends dad finds fat raps left and right on the river by my house, which confuses me because I have never seen anyone fish a fat rap on that river in my life.

Very neat story and very nice collection. I always find myself wanting to collect lures that I have history with or that mean something to me, and I can tell your collection means more to you than just how much the lures are worth. I have lures that aren't worth a nickel that are very special to me.
I love seeing old Rapala boxes in great shape like that CW Fat Rap.

The value depends on the rarity and condition of the lure. If it's new in an unopened box, the average, obsolete FR-7 might be worth about $15. A used one in good condition...maybe half that. What do you have?
