OK, so it's not the biggest in the world but it is the biggest I've caught so far:
30cm Comb grouper on a Saltiga Minnow 14
It put up a pretty good fight, diving deep and trying to get into the rocks. Catch, photo and release
I caught it at the same place where I caught the Barracuda a week ago. I'm beginning to like that place
Just on a side note: I tried quite a few lures and when, at about 8am, the wind started to pick up, I had already switched to a SP-9 - which casts really well, even in windy conditions. However the sea started to get a bit choppy so I switched to an X-Rap 10. That was a mistake
It casts terrible in blustery conditions. I kept getting minor backlashes - enough to stop the lure mid-flight. After adjusting the mechanical brake with some success, I gave up and went back the the Saltiga 14. Wow! What a difference! Honestly, that thing didn't seem to notice the wind or gusts at all. It still cast far and like a bullet. I wonder how the Max-Rap 15 compares?
