hi all. i was speculating about this for a while; now i found a message on normark.fi it seems the SFR is coming back. my translator says: ----- Finland claims the colors are as follows: CLF, CW, FT, GF, HT, OCW, and PRT Lures are available in late summer 2011. ----- can you believe that - SFR coming back - again! now i need some help from our finish friends here. there is a table showing SFR-5 and SFR-7 data, but the text only mentions SFR-5. the big question is: will the SFR-7 come back? please help, wolfgang p.s.: full text can be found here: www.normark.fi/tuotesivu/rapala_klassikot/rapala_shallow_fat_rap

Sorry I dont know finnish very good, just swedish. But according to the text as far as i understand you might suspect its only the FR-5 that is returning.

the new will not effect prices ,the old shad and gold belly P will always be strong ,new colours like CLF and HT may become little worth in the future but not the same as the 7 did in the past, just my 2cts

We always go over the topic of why some of these lures never come to the US. Same with some of the Colors like GF and GFR and others. I would not mine paying more for lures if the colors were right. I'm done buying new lures from Rapala I will buy old stock and the great discontinued lures when I can find them but other then that I'm looking at other producers. Would love to see the deep runner re issued here in the US with some of these new colors.

My views are similar to yours, while I will pay $10+ for old stock lures I find at bait shops, I refuse to spend more than $5 on any of the new lures, so its very rarely that I buy rapalas anymore. IMO they are scaring away a lot of their normal customers with these insane prices on new lures

I too have no problem drop extra cash on quality old stock discontinued lures or for discontinued colors that are good for fishing. With so many lure companies producing great lures and great colors along with the new soft plastics at a fraction of the cost its hard to pay the big bucks for the Rapalas. Even some of the storm lure prices have gotten a little crazy but you can still find lures in their line for well under 5 dollars and in some cases you can find them at tackle shops for 2.50 or 3 bucks

That's like Team Eskos. I don't know why they don't put both them and fat raps in more stores in the US. I feel like in the US is one of the best places to sell these lures. It doesn't make sense why they don't sell them. At least put them in stores like cabelas or bass pro shops.
