Wanted to get an idea of what everyones favorite fish catching Rapala is. Include Size color and your targeted fish. Given my limited experiance less then a full year.
I would have to pick two:
#5 Shadrap.. Clown.. Walleye #12 Husky Jerk.. Gold... Walleye

I have trouble narrowing down a color, but I'll try.
F-9 Perch J-9 Yellow Perch SSR-7 Bluegill, all targeting bass
Recently I have been having alot of success with the DT FAT 1 and 3 as well. They may be giving my old faithful lures a run for their money by the end of this year!!!

Right now my best Rapala is an HJ-8 in silver for bass
Never had much luck before this year with one though...

1.sp-7 in lime frog 2.f-9 in blue 3.hj-10 in glass pink clown 4.j-11 in perch
all above for bass
1.cd-5 in shiner 2.hj-6 in minnow 3.f-5 in vampire 4.j-5 in gold
all above for trout
1.f-mag 14 in mullet 2.cd-mag 14 in silver blue mackerel 3.sp-12 in hot pink 4.sl-13 in sfc 5.f-18 in fire tiger
all bove for pike and strip bass

Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout: FL-7 ( red/gold, chartuese/silver, firetiger ), SH-5 ( both perch colors ), CD-7 ( Firetiger, Perch, Gold/Black, Brook Trout ). Bass: SH-5 ( both perch colors ), FL-7 ( red/gold, chartruese/silver )

For Pike

My opinion for the best Rapalas for perch are: f7 hot steel cd5 rainbow trout xrs6 olive green
And for me the best Rapalas for pike: sxr10 hot head j9 blue f9 sfc ssr14 brown trout

for giant catfish there is one rapala perfect

something "generic" for chubs and bass. well, i can't say just one colour
original floating 07-09 s shad rap 05-07 ssh, cw or p jointed 7-9 s or p jointed 9-11 gfr (only for bass)

Gold X-rap sizes 6 and 8 for many different types of fish. One with tail dressing one with out.

For walleye on the Detroit River any Original Floater from size 5 to 13. My all time best producer would have to be a #11 GFR followed by Chartreuse and then Clown.

Bass: DT 6 Hot Mustard - casting to rock in rivers RSSR Most anything natural - casting to trees and shoreline in reservoirs DT 10 Red - casting to deep weed edges in natural lakes
