went fishing yesterday to a 'new' place I had only fished once previously. Gorgeous but HUGE reservoir (for me, anyway), and it was just a gorgeous morning. No wind to speak of, but not enough clouds and super clear water. I fished for hours with nothing but Rapalas and had nothing to show for it...below is the 'pile' that I amassed at the bottom of my canoe . I finally found some small lily pads and threw some Senkos at the edges when finally! He was small but I didn;t care - All else I could manage was another small bass, largemouth this time... If it weren't these Senkos, my whole fathers day trip would have been a dud (thank you Gary Yamamato) Lastly I know how you all enjoy my lake pics so I got a couple of cool sunrise shots Felt good to get out there on Father's Day though....the fish were just a bonus.

Don't you worry about tipping over with all those lures in the canoe?? It happened to me once while I was trying to get a lure out of a tree above me. I had about 50 lures floating around, but managed to get them all back. Nowadays, I never leave my tackle box open while I fish.

Yes, a DT-06 I had done by Dutch Fork Custom Lures; he has done a few models for me in basic silver chrome and gold chrome. The lure on the right is just a Skitter Walk SureSet SW-11 in Chrome (CH). So far nothing yet on that lure but I keep trying.

Great pictures. Seems like it would be a fun lake to fish, you've got so many possibilities on a big reservoir like that, from pitching senkos to lily pads to Carolina rigging offshore structure.
Ted, have you ever tried an OCW color crankbait in the summer for smallmouth? The lake I fish is crystal clear...... I can see my DRFR-5 OCW in 10ft. of water, but when it starts digging on the bottom those smallmouth cant stand it.
