has anyone found gold colored hooks work better than red or bronze colored hooks
i havent tryed either i was just wondering after reading red hooks thred

I had gold ones on the 100th anniversary lure, as they all do.
Not really tested it cause I disliked the lure completely.
I would like to try this on a J-11 or F-13 or so..
I love the red hooks though!

the red ones give a little bit of the bleeding edge to the lure, but gold would also do a good trick I guess. Never tried it out

Personally I feel it depends on what species of fish you are targeting. Gold hooks in my opinion would be beneficial if you were fishing for something like white bass.
