....they just might surprise you. Using some of these not-so-run-of-the-mill baits has been a lot of fun, and a challenge as well. My lure collection really doubles as my tackle box, and vice versa.
Finally got a chance to fish my Long Cast Lipless SHallow Dancer (LCL-10) in Perch that I won in an auction from John. It did not disappoint -

A decent one on the DTFAT01 in BOS
First fish (in YEARS) on a SFR-04 in FT
Another lil one on the FT
Sometimes though, I do force myself to use plastics, these were on Senkos
This one was the 2nd biggest of the day, and my last fish - once I got this guy, I knew I could get off the lake on a high note -
But the last one wasn't my best one. I was actualyl kinda shocked that I did well with the Perch color LCL - Perch is a color I rarely use, even though I know there are yellow perch all over my home lake. I think that is what made me decide to throw my DTFAT03 in Yellow Perch -
This guy has not been afraid to hit lures - look at his mangled lip!
Lastly you have to love the nature of yelloe perch
