we don't get anything like that on the East Coast....but when we do it's big news. Very surreal moments leaving the office today as everyone felt it and bolted out the door.
I heard this 5.8 quake in Virginia was felt as far as Michigan.....very scary stuff. I'll take the nor-easters and snow over quakes anyday...

Haha, I was sitting here at the computer by myself, the house was DEAD quiet and I had just woke up a couple hours before ( don't ask, I had a rough night ) It knocked a couple shad raps down off the shelf, but I just chalked it up to the construction work going on in town. A couple hours later, everybody on Facebook was going apesh*t about it. In other words, I barely felt it in western north Carolina...... so the people claiming their pictures fell off the wall in Georgia MIGHT be drama queens.  |

You can blame the media for all of the sensationalism, but there is a large majority of the folks here on the east coast have never been through one. |
