After having my knee replaced in May I figured that the sun was finally going to shine on this old dogs ass but got the news today that nobody wants to hear. I had doctors appointments all afternoon only to leave them knowing that I now have another obstacle to clear be for the sun can shine on my ass. The obstacle I now have to clear is cancer. I really didn't know what to think when the doctor told me that today. My mind went completely blank. I have surgery on Friday to remove the tumor. The doctor was pretty confident that once its removed that it will not come back. All I can say is I sure f-ing hope so.Something just didn't feel right so I went and got it checked out. I'm telling ya fella's if ANYTHING dosen't feel right with your body go get it checked out.I was just going to pass this off as nothing and was actually pissed off that I had to cancel my plans to go to the doctor. I swear if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all

Well my surgery to remove the tumor went great.I can say that I'm sore as hell now,but I'll take that over the latter any day.My doctor told me I will have quite a few appts for the next 2 years to see if it comes back.I was told the success rate is 99.7% that it won't return which is very good.So for now it looks like I'm in the clear but there is always the chance it may come back. Again thanks guys for the kind words Steve

Great to hear your report on a successful operation. I pray that everything will be good in the future.
My beautiful wife of 45yrs. has cancer also but the outlook is not good. The doctor says there's nothing they can do except to try to keep her comfortable. We found out only a month ago that she had it. So grab your loved ones and hold them tight because life can change in an instant.

Hey Steve - we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers! Curious: How were you feeling that alerted you to go and get it checked and where was the tumor. Not to get personal - but some of us older guys with "growing pains" should keep an eye out for this stuff!

Hey Steve - we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers! Curious: How were you feeling that alerted you to go and get it checked and where was the tumor. Not to get personal - but some of us older guys with "growing pains" should keep an eye out for this stuff! It was testicular cancer To be honest it was a total fluke that I found about it.3 days before I found out I was cutting firewood and lifted some pretty heavy pieces of wood that day,and woke up the next morning feeling like I just got kicked in the nutts. So I figured it was probably a hernia .So when I went to the doctor the following Monday and he ordered a ultra-sound to see what was going on.The doctor who was watching the ultra-sound screen when the nurse was doing the test noticed something that didn't look right. So he sent me to the Urologist with the ulta-sound info and the Urologist saw the tumer and knew what it was right away and scheduled my surgery to have it removed that week. So my advice to anyone if something dosen't feel right with your body go get it checked out.It could be nothing but on the other hand it might not be.
