I heard from a few tackle shops that DT's will be discontinued. Hope this is not true. All of the Walmart stores around the San Diego area, have stop selling them.
Has anybody heard anything?

I would say that the Dives-To series has been Rapala's best seller in America for ten years. I can't even Fathom a reason why they would discontinue them. The ONLY thing I can think of.... is that it costs too much to make them. With the balsa wood, all the molded plastic and steel inside the body. I'm sure it costs more to make a DT than a Shad Rap.
If they are discontinued, the crankbait-throwers around here will DIE.

Ill agree with jake, DT's make up the majority of my tackle box so discontinuing them would be a poor choice IMO

Discontinue them? No - but slim down and pare down the lineup? Most definitely.
The DT lineup has been very broad - and very confusing over the years - especially when you factor in that certain colors were only available on SureSet hooks, and vice versa. It gets even more confusing when you break down the colors by lure sizes as well.
A couple of examples are the colors 'Gold' and 'Chartreuse Lime' - these used to be a SureSet color, but now you can't find any Gold DT cranks (DT04 up to DT16) anywhere. Same goes for CTL, but it is still available on the bigger DTSS-16 and DTMSS-20(Metal) series. Or at least the last time I checked.
