Was at a store and saw they had about 30 or 40 Husky 13 lures in a classic box. Wanted to know if anyone has fished with these before and if so how effective are they and what did you catch?The cost is 9 dollars per lure and looks a lot like a Husky Jerk but thicker.

Those are the re-issues of the discontinued Husky-13, aka Rapala Classics. They are actually a thicker, bigger version of the F-13, since these are floater, not suspending like the HJ. I'm not overly crazy about the patterns they came in (there were 6 in the USA, more colors including Bleeding varieties overseas) so I haven't used it much. My favorite is probably Original Pearl Shad but no luck to date. |

I'm starting to see them sell on E-bay for 11 to 13 dollars? Maybe I should have picked up a couple last year at the store I saw a pile of them at?

the hj-13's are very hot for collecting if you can get them for under 20 bucks buy all you can

the "and up" stands for about $400 for a single out-of-box H-13.

^ he is talking about the re-issue lures in the classic box, not the old ones. So these would not sell for any more than $15 nowadays. I did pick up one in Crawdad and one in rainbow trout and i must say the rainbow trout looks awesome

Two years ago I found 8 pcs of these in Crawdad which was sold for 1 euro each!!! Guess how many I bought!  Theyre still common in stores here in Finland in a few different colors (dont remeber all colours but at least SFC and GFR and im pretty sure I've seen RH. Theyre sold for 9.50 euro I think. Is this lure discontinued? Im talking about the re-issued Classic Box just to make things clear. |

yep, the us release was RB, SFC, GFR, SD, CW, and YP. other colors were available overseas, like the bleeding colors, and a few of the other old colors, but i dont think S was one of them, kinda odd now that i think of it like that.
