Well, Since I have been proclaimed the "Husky Expert" on this board, I thought it my civic duty to try and collect all of the Husky line. I finally got this beauty on its way. This took more language changes than you can imagine not to mention currency so its a little pricey but as mastercard says, "a Husky Red Firetiger New in Box - PRICELESS" So as far as I can tell, I have a list of 23 different Husky Paint Jobs and I have 19 of them. I'm still looking for the old Perch design (gold belly) and the new Perch design as well as Gold Green Shad and Red Head. If anyone has any of these especially the Perch's hook me up, I'm sure I have something you want ;D. I'm sure there will be a few more than 23 of these but this is what I have for now. Checking on any remaining overseas colors. Oh and by the way my favorite model for collecting is the F-11, but I guess I'll be the Husky expert.

Okay husky expert. If there is a husky out of the box, how can you tell it is a husky? To the best of my knowledge, I have never owned one.

A husky as opposed to..... A F-13?? The Huskys are much wider balsa than the Floatings. A Husky is about as wide or slightly wider than a F-18. I can tell just by looking at pictures since I've seen so many of both. It also usually says Husky on the bill but without the lure in your hand you have to rely on the width of the lure (top to bottom). The RFT will be coming in a box thankfully, I'll post it when its in my hand.

Thanks for the Link. I haven't been on ebay in a while. Too busy at work. Unfortunately that one is without the hanging tab, doesn't quite measure up to my collection but if you see one minty in a complet box shout it out. Thanks.

Good reply Ted. I was thinking the same thing. I guess I've looked at these long enough I wasn't even considering it could be a CD. Also, the three hook thing. No CD's with 3 hooks that I know of anyway.

I was meaning a CD is huskier than a floater. Not the link lol. A CD and a Husky should look quite similar without viewing the lip correct?

Well, I've got to chime in here. First, About the husky-13's Great looking lure, Wallcat
Are the oversea's models marked husky on the lip. The few I have (in the box) are marked 'ireland' on the lip.
Now then, onto this topic of cd-13's are we really really sure about that model?
According to my research, usa catalogs being my source, 1960's era catalogs There is a countdown #13
I can't remember right off the top of my head when it was 'dis-continued' (I hate to use that word as it seems to come back and bite me in the ass)
Every time I see or use that word, I have to ask myself----
Where?
As we know, some models have been thought to have been 'dis-continued' Only to have collectors like Wallcat, do the leg work, language translations money exchages to find Rapala models that aren't available here in the states.
The recent global market-place and huge interest in Rapala lures, both for fishing and collecting has made research a much harder task (interesting and a ton of fun, at least for me)
But harder. It seems like everytime I think I got it figured out. I see or here about something else.
Anyway, That's a sweet looking lure.. Great Job on adding that to your collection

The Husky RFT is here. Even better than the picture. Prolly the best "bright" paintjob ever put to a rapala. This baby should be visible in the murkiest of waters. I'm really surprised this lure, looking this well, was in such a short production run. Also landed the Husky Silver Green (SG-shitty to reuse a code but they did) and the Husky PSD. All and all a pretty good hall to land those three. Also picked up the silver green on some jointeds, and floatings.

That silver green jointed wouldn't happen to be a J13 would it?

I'll get the pics out soon. The Silver Green jointeds were sadly 9cm and 7cm, not the big boys. Still researching if the 11 and 13 were made. I did pick up an F-11 OCW. I didn't know they went that large.

My fishing buddy was foaming at the mouth at that one too. Wish I had found more than 1. I'd love to fish it.
