I'm pretty sure I saw someone post a heads-up about MaxRaps being on sale at Gander Mountain about a week or two ago. So, when I stumbled upon them at my local Gander Mountain (Batavia, IL) I wasn't surprised, but still glad to see them at $4.99. Not every color, and only the older size 13, but at $4.99 I had to get some. What did intrigue me is that there were still plenty for sale on the racks at regular price $12.99 - 17.99 depending on size. So I was curious how they were distinguishing the regulars from the bargain bin fodder. Upon close inspection, I discovered that all of the sale bin models had stickers over the box printed UPC bar code that had a different bar code and in real tiny printing the word "ICast". Could these be leftovers from the big ICast show???

I wish I had some good outfittng stores to shop... Besides the major chain-stores that carry only run of the mill stuff, I really have to hunt for the good stuff... Living in southeastern N.C., a stones throw from the ocean, there a very few freshwater tackle-shops... The BPS in Myrtle Beach is disappointing, Charlotte is 4 1/2 hours & I've never even seen a Gander Mtn. or Cabelas in my life!!! I get a lot of my gems rummaging through other peoples tackle boxes that are full of rusty old stuff & saving them... Some new hooks & split-rings after a cleaning and ready to fish...
