The Ultra Light Minnow comes in 2 sizes, ULM-04 @ 1.5 inches & ULM-06 @ 2.5 inches. Not sure about the weight but it's supposed to run at 2ft. deep... If you want to get it a bit deeper, add 2-3 small split-shot at least 16 inches up the mainline...

I just received the ULM-4 in the mail today from Ted and according to the box it is: 4 cm 1-1/2" in length; weighs 3 g 1/8 oz. and has a swimming depth of 0.6-0.9 m 2'-3'. Nigel

it looks promising, altough i prefer the "classic" style, similar to original lures

I love this lure design. The trout colors are gonna rule I'm sure!! I love mini fat raps but the lure has some issues in my opinion. I'm looking forward to fishing this one.

ok, so it looks like rapala is pointing a lot on this series. i think i should give this a try I was the one who ended up reviewing the ULM-6 for rapalanation and I have to say it certainly performed above my expectations!!! If you do give it a try, be sure to post your thoughts on it. I am very curious to see how others feel about it!!

I will give it a try too, when they reach the local tacklestores here. Guessing they will be killers for perch in the summer

I got to see some of these on the shelves lately - they look a lot like the Yozuri Pins Minnow - just a little "chunkier". Does anyone know if they float, suspend or sink?

OK Happyshad, Because of your burning question I went and filled the sink with water and grabbed my ul's. Then of course my wife walks in and sees me playing in the sink like a little kid. She just shook her head and left the room laughing. Oh, and to answer your question, at least in my sink they sink.

Been testing a couple of these for a while now. Great fish catchers but have found the lips to be very fragile. Both have now broken off making the lures unfishable. To catch fish you need to cast near snags, if you cast at the base of trees and docks you are sometimes gonna bump the lure..when you do the lip breaks off ! disappointed.

Hmm disappointed to hear that they aren't too durable I fish all over snags and rocky, dead-fall filled streams for trout and my lures tend to take beating. I've been VERY impressed with the ultralight shad but there are applications where I think the ultralight minnow would excel. How's their action?
