HI EVERYONE IT'S JOHN I HAVE AN IDEA FOR X-MAS THIS YEAR HOW ABOUT WE DO A RAPALA GRAB BAG.EACH PERSON THAT WOULD LIKE TO BE IN ON THIS HAS TO PUT A MIX OF 10 RAPALAS (N.I.B) IN A BAG.BUT NOT TELL WITH IS IN IT.THEN WE DRAW NUMBERS AND NUMBER EACH BAG AS WILL AND WHO EVERY DRAWS THAT NUMBER BAG WIN'S THAT BAG.I WILL BE THE FIRST ONE ON THIS.SO THE LIST STARTS WITH ME.

We will probably get more people interested if we make it more like 4 or 5 lures instead of 10. With 10 lures people will be spending around $100 when you include the shipping and everything. It would be interesting to get people from other countries to participate too.

I just now saw this post, but I definitely would love to be involved. Like someone mentioned, with the international members we have here, this could end up being pretty cool. If my 3 lures happen to not be offered in Europe, and end up being sent to a member there, the recipient would have gotten lures they can't easily find at home!!!

No, so far I think this is an excellent idea, and should only be open to RapalaNation members only. Anyone who signs up obviously must be ok with shipping lures overseas (and the cost associated) so everyone should know that up front. Also - if possible - I think everyone can maybe include 1 lure that is rare, hard to find, discontinued, or unique - just to add to the mystery. Obviously what is rare or hard to find might vary by opinion, but at least it makes things a little more interesting.  |

Could I suggest: Drawing names and pairing one overseas person with somebody from the states - then letting the person that you "drew" providing a little wish list? I know this sounds a little complicated - but aren't the holidays always that way?

ok guys and girls i would like to have the list by the first week of nov. so we can pick the numbers and start looking around for rapalas for this.and that should give us more than enough time to shop and ship out so all get them by x-mas day.

Also I wanted to send out a mass email to the rest of the members on this site to see who else would be interested. Be warned though - if any members sign up and do not live up to the end of the deal (dont bother to ship the lures, etc) they risk being banned from the site forever. Sorry but thats the way it has to be - I dont want to see people getting jerked around. |

I've just sent out a site-wide email for this - here is to hoping we get a lot more people!  Also I think it might help folks if we update the list with the person's location next to their username - might help folks determine what kinds of lures to send...just a thought. I'm going to ask that the next people that reply who want in do the same. I think we still have a lot of time though if we an draw the names by Thanksgiving - would give people more time to get in as well.... |
