I am going fishing tomorrow at the place I usually go. I usually fish the shallow parts of the river. There is one bend in the river that has a very large deep hole a few yards down. It is probably 12-24 feet deep. I have no idea if there are any logs, cars, rocks, etc at the bottom. I would like to see if there are any big bass at the bottom. Any idea what I should use? A jig? If so what color? Thanks, -Ryan

try a camera... JK honestly, i think i would really consider using a spoon and vertical jig it as you pass over. this works on 2 levels, one, it really isnt a bad technique, and two, it will almost definitely be something the fish(assuming there are fish down there) havent seen from every boat that goes by. but jig and pig is also a good idea, what colors are your craws right now, and then use that color. good luck bacon

A few options not sure of the current but heres a few options
3/8 oz Jig with a 5 in twister tail
A blade bait these kill on rivers
Ever think about jigging a Rattlin Rap Size 5-7? You would be shocked how may fish you can get jigging.
