SSR14 rare color?

Just got this. Never seen this color before. What is it?

Ok, looks like great color for pike and walleye in my waters! Is it madness to fish with a lure like this?

If the lip is painted, then it is a custom. Some of the better customs have none of the lip painted though, and look like they could be an actual factory color

Just had to share my own photo of the lure in the original post. Big fan of SSR14 and SFC is my favorit color for pike and walleye. This would/will be a super lure to catch fish with.

Need help with this color. According to the owner of this SSR the color code is SH. Anyone knows more about this color? Is it real or custom? I have not seen it before atleast.

I think it's a custom because SH it's Shiner. And i've never seen this color.

its so nice they put it back in the box; and yes, it can not be shiner.
and if you take a closer look (which would be easier if it was out of box) you can see the wire for the split ring painted >> custom!
the lip seems to have been masked quite nicely though ...

sorry to say that, but i am 100% sure it is a custom; enlarge the pic and check the wire on the belly where the treble hook is fixed. it is painted.
as said before, very nice job on masking the lip.

Jep its pretty obvious even to me now that it is custom since its clearly visible that the wire on the belly is painted. Should have seen it right away.

well, dont worry, next time you will notice.

i just learned about this "eye-thing" and now i have a closer look on this detail.

i "discovered" the "red-lip-thing" on the CDJ, and still dont know if i like that or not; it increases the number of avialable colors, and the efforts to get a full set.

and i take off the paint from the wire on all my customs; this is not to sell as original, i just like the looks much better; and i prefer a lip where you can see it is a custom paint.

well, I agree all folks saying that this lure is a coustom painted one. From where do you get this lure ? I ask that, because some days/weeks ago, Johannes send me a picture of the same lure/colour and asked me the same question. I told him, that in my opinion, this has to be a coustom painted, because the wire on the belly is painted. But I don`t know, what happend to tha lure further.

Hi Carsten. The lures in this tread I mostly find on the finnish auction site huuto.net. Johannes also look there alot I think.

Here is another one, have not seen this color and doesnt look custom according to rings and lip, or?

yes, this is a custom painted too. should be a mixture of SD and B. painted lip (bad work) and black eyes !!!

Heres another one i found at huuto.net. Have not seen this before. It doesnt look like a custom paint job and it sure looks like a Rapala and not some of the many SSR-14 copys out there....or? Can it even be a MU someone painted red on?
