Through a trade with a fellow RapalaNation member I managed to get hold of some of the new Berkley NanoFil - 150yds of 4lb to be exact. It is made of Dyneema strands and goes through a process of "Unified Filament Technology". I first measured its diameter and it is as stated on the packaging - 0.004" average diameter (0.11mm). I managed to spool all 150yds onto my Okuma AV 15A (Ultra light).
I just did some testing of how it casts (on the grass) and am very impressed how it handles. The line itself is very thin and feels like silk. Actually, whilst casting it, the 'loose' line in the air (as the lure was falling) just gently floated downwards like spider silk. I have yet to try it out on the water but I'm sure it will also be great then.
The distances I got were quite impressive: Rapala CD-1 (2.7g) -- 31m Rapala ULM-4 (3g) -- 27m Lucky Craft Gunfish 75 (6.5g) -- 35m

great distances!!! well, it looks very promising. but you have to be careful with the knots!!! I don't have problems with knots since I started to use the Palomar Knot and for braid, including the new Berkley Nanofil - which, on the peel-up sticker on the spool, they call the 'NanoFil Knot', I use the 'Double Palomar Knot': Seems to be a great line..... Good to hear that it's a great line! Did you manage to catch some fish with it?

ok, we're waiting for infos!!! Still haven't managed a fishing trip with it yet but did notice that is not memory free like braid. Not nearly as bad a mono but you can see a slight memory retention when pulled off the reel spool. Nothing to complain about though. On a side note, I found some reviews of it on the web and two of them tested the braking strain of the 4lb and both came up with the same results -- breaks at 10lb! That is amazing considering how thin the stuff is. I will also do some tests of my own....... Nigel
