Quick question for the guys that paint customs. When you custom paint a rapala do you paint over the already existing paint, or do you somehow remove the finish and paint from the rapala, then paint it. Thanks

I ususally remove the eye's, then skuff the bait with fine sandpaper, clean with denatured alcohol, then prime with 'krylon for plastic' primer. Primer is important because it gives you a good surface for the new coat of paint to hold on to... then go crazy with the paint!
