I recently received the 2012 Cabelas fishing catalog. It looks like Rapala is bringing back two of the Holographic shad rap colors. I do not know if it shows them online yet or not....haven't looked.

All I saw were Shad Raps. It was at the bottom right corner of one of the Rapala pages in the catalog. I will check tonight when I get home though.

Just checked the website and yes they are shown as an exclusive, and no shallow version!!!

I figured it would - I just loaded up on them - there was a small distributor around here that must have found a bunch of them in their "back room" or from the factory itself! I also found some CD's in holographic as well! I'm with you Qbert - bring back the shallow version!

Hi Wolfgang. "you know it is a rare one ... when Jason doesnt have it." Jason don`t have SSR #7 HESH and none SSR 5 those holographic colours.  Hope those new are more durable, than those were made 10 years ago. |

Hope those new are more durable, than those were made 10 years ago. Wooh Wooh Wooh.... LOL There are thousands upon thousands of Rapala I don't have yet. That doesn't make them rare. I just haven't run into one yet. I wait for the baits to come to me. Rarely ever do I search out specific baits. If I was searching for baits all the time. I would have no money left LOL... |

Going to have to make a trip into town today - I figure that every time I walk into Cabelas - it has to be at least a "Hondo" if not two!  This new holographic dilemma just means that I'll have to get the new boxes with the plastic hang tags!  Ryan - does this mean that these are Holographic Generation Two?  |

I guess you could call them Gen 2. They come in both SR-5 and SR-7. Here is a picture of both new colors, and the last picture is the old Holographic Shiner and the new Holographic Shiner.    -Ryan |
